Hello everyone, summer is here again, and West Salem Mission School has wrapped up for the year! It was such a blessing to teach another term. This marks my third year here, and while I loved it, I’m not planning to teach again. I’m getting married in early June (Lord willing). When I first started teaching, it seemed like a huge leap of faith, but I quickly got to know each student, and I have so many wonderful memories from each one of them. There were definitely challenges, but also lots of joy. I often prayed, “Lord, teach me so that I can teach them.” And I know I learned just as much, if not more, than the students did.

Elementary school students from the 2025-26 school year.
My favorite subject was Bible; it was fascinating to explore the lives of the prophets, Jesus, and the apostles. I also really enjoyed the nature lessons, where we could go outside and learn from the lessons God provides in the trees, flowers, birds, and more.
The last couple of months of school were filled with fun days. Each week, we had a different activity to enjoy together, like visiting the zoo or having pet day at school (everyone brought a pet if they had one). One time, we all picked a different name, and everyone had to call us by that name for the entire week. Little things like that kept school fun and interesting.
Thank you to all the sponsors and everyone who prays for this ministry.
